PRE-K REGISTRATION
St. John Catholic School Council has established that there will be a morning and afternoon Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4-year-old class and a morning Tuesday and Thursday 3-year-old class.

The class size at St. John Pre-K is limited. In the likelihood that more than the allotted numbers of registrations are received for Pre-K for a given year, the following criteria will be used to establish the class list:

  1. Student currently enrolled in St. John Pre-K or is a sibling of a St. John student or graduate;
  2. St. John Parish member;
  3. Member of another Catholic parish;
  4.  Other

If there are more registrants than space available in any of the categories above, date of submission of the registration form will take priority to determine who is accepted into the class and the order on the waiting list.

Families will be notified on or before March 31 to inform them of their status in the 2017-2018 St. John Pre-K class.

A completed Pre-K registration consists of the following:

  • Completed Registration Form
  • Non-refundable Registration Fee of $35 before August 1, 2017 or $75 after August 1, 2017
  • Copy of Immunization Record
  • Copy of Birth Certificate

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Our Kindergarten is a full-day program.  All children registering for Kindergarten must be five years old before September 1, 2017.

FIRST THROUGH FIFTH GRADE REGISTRATION
Registration for transfer students in first through fifth grades is considered based on available openings in the requested grade. The administrator reserves the right to request release of any and all information from the previous school for any student transferring to St. John Catholic School. This information includes, but is not limited to, academic and behavioral records, standardized test scores and psychological test results. St. John Catholic School policy states that all newly enrolled students are subject to a six-week probation period.

SCHOOL IMMUNIZATIONS:  In order to enter school for the first time, at the Kindergarten or First Grade level, in any public, private or parochial school, your child must have the following immunizations:

  • 4 doses of tetanus (1 dose on or after the 4th birthday) (Usually given as DTP, DTaP, DT or Td)
  • 4 doses of diphtheria (1 dose on or after the 4th birthday) (Usually given as DTP, DTaP, DT or Td)
  • 3 doses of polio
  • 2 doses of measles (Usually given as MMR)
  • 2 doses of mumps (Usually given as MMR)
  • 1 dose of rubella (Usually given as MMR)
  • 3 doses of hepatitis B
  • 2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) or history of the disease

These requirements allow for medical and religious exemptions. If your child is exempt from immunizations, s/he may be removed from school during an outbreak.

To insure a quality education for each student, St. John School Council policy limits each class size to 24 students.  Registrations are accepted in the following priority order:

  1. Siblings of students enrolled in St. John School or siblings of graduates;
  2. Current St. John Pre-K students who are St. John, St. Kateri or Queen of Archangels parish members;
  3. St. John, St. Kateri or Queen of Archangel parish members;
  4. St. John Pre-K students who are not parish members;
  5. Others on the “waiting list”, as space permits.

If there are more registrants than space available in any of the categories above, date of submission of the registration form will take priority to determine who is accepted into the class and the order on the waiting list.

After February 15th, any remaining openings are filled in the order in which registrations were received.
