Dear Saint John Family,
We are thrilled to share some exciting news! YOU helped us to be named one of Centre County’s 2025 Favorites in three categories:

This recognition is such a wonderful affirmation of what we already know: Saint John Catholic School is a truly special place. But more than awards or titles, what makes us extraordinary is our families. The Saint John School Family is one of a kind. Your love, faith, and dedication to your children and to the success of our school shine every single day.
Thank you for making Saint John School not only a place of learning, but also a place of faith, community, and joy.

Welcome!
Nestled in the heart of Bellefonte, Saint John School has been serving families of all faiths since 1890. We continue the mission of the IHM Sisters by providing strong academics in a faith-filled environment. Offering both 3- and 4 year-old Pre-Kindergarten classes, as well as full-day instruction in Kindergarten through grade 5, we work closely with CIU 10 and our local school districts, to provide students access to Enrichment, Speech & Language, Occupational Therapy, Counseling, and remedial Math and Reading services, including Title I Reading. Alongside traditional curriculum, students enjoy Art, Music, Band, Choir, Technology, and Physical Education. Current technology is abundant at Saint John. From Chromebooks for every K-5 student and iPads for every Pre-K student, we balance new practices with traditional ones. Above all, Religion is more than a class. Students learn and live the Catholic faith in all aspects of their day. We are truly a thriving Catholic school.

What are Classroom Cultivators?
Classroom Cultivators are generous individuals or families who sponsor a specific classroom at Saint John School for the year with a $500 donation. Their support helps ensure that teachers don’t need to use their own funds to provide classroom materials, student resources, and special activities - planting the seeds for a joyful, faith-filled learning environment where great things grow!
If you’re interested in sponsoring one of our remaining classrooms, please contact the school office at mainoffice@saintjohnsch.net or 814-355-7859. Thank you for helping our students thrive!
2025-2026 THEME
"From small seeds, great things grow" beautifully encapsulates the mission of Saint John Catholic School, where education is not just about imparting knowledge but nurturing the potential within each student. This guiding principle reflects the school's commitment to creating an environment where every child is valued and encouraged to flourish spiritually, academically, and socially. At Saint John, the dedicated faculty and supportive community work together to plant the seeds of curiosity, compassion, and resilience in students. Through a curriculum rooted in faith and excellence, the school aims to cultivate well-rounded individuals equipped to make meaningful contributions to the world. In this nurturing atmosphere, the smallest of efforts can lead to extraordinary achievements, echoing the profound truth that greatness often begins with humble beginnings.
